About the Event
With the postponement of the January 2021 Oceania Masters Athletics (OMA) championships to January 2022, and the closing of countries borders throughout the region, Masters Athletics have limited opportunities for regional competition. For this reason, the OMA Council has decided to hold a Virtual Championship.
As part of the Virtual Championship, Athletics Norfolk Island will be conducting a Masters Mini Athletics Competition for locals on Sunday 24 January 2021.
Conditions for the Athletics Norfolk Island Masters Mini Athletics Competition:
1. Athletes aged 30 plus on Jan 01, 2021 are eligible to participate.
2. Athletes must have resided on Norfolk Island for 2 years to be eligible to participate.
3. Athletes must be a registered member of Athletics Norfolk Island prior to enrolment.
4. Enrolments must be received by 10:00pm, 20 Jan 2021.
Events for the Athletics Norfolk Island Masters Mini Athletics Competition:
100m, 400m, 1500m, shotput, javelin, high jump.
Entry is free, however athletes must be financially registered members of Athletics Norfolk Island ($10 single or $15 family)
Oceania regional awards (Electronic certificates) will be presented by OMA to the first three performances in each 5-year age group for each event.
COVIDSafe
Athletics Norfolk Island committee have a covidsafe plan and will follow protocols to ensure all event attendees are Covidsafe.
Waiver
I hereby declare that I am in good health and will be properly conditioned for the events I have entered. I absolutely relieve Athletics Norfolk Island and all other parties in any way involved in the conduct of the Norfolk Island Mini Masters Athletics Competition of responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to me or my property which I may sustain in the course of or in connection with this athletic event. I authorize the use of my name, voice or picture and any information on this entry form to be used without payment to me in any broadcast, telecast, promotion or advertising or in any way related to this event.
