Athletics Norfolk Island (ANI) was formally represented on the global stage at the 55th World Athletics Congress, held September 11-12 2025 in Tokyo, Japan. Secretary Tim Rogers attended as ANI’s official delegate, joining representatives from all 214 Member Federations of World Athletics.
 

The World Athletics Congress is the highest decision-making body in international athletics. Delegates gather to vote on strategic directions for the sport, including governance, integrity frameworks, development priorities, and competition pathways.
 

For Norfolk Island, participation in this forum reinforces our federation’s long-standing affiliation with World Athletics (ANI founded in 1993, affiliated in 1995) and ensures that our unique perspective as a small island federation is included in global discussions.
